It all started when...

Travis Pendergrass, founder and president of Pender-Craft Cabinets, Inc. was working full time for McKee Foods Corporation in Gentry, AR and decided to start building cabinets in the family's garage during his spare time.

Why cabinets? Really the story goes back farther than 1991. Travis's father worked at a cabinet shop in college and later started his own shop full time after retiring from teaching, and his grandfather was a carpenter and cabinet installer before that, so cabinetry was a natural choice for Travis.

Generations of hard, honest labor came before us, each one taking cabinets a step further. In 1996 Travis and his wife Bonnie incorporated to form Pender-Craft Cabinets, Inc. and began building a new facility to replace the old garage.

Since the new facility was built two additions have been made for new machines and methods that have allowed us to improve, quality, efficiency, and production.

In 2016, Kendall, the little boy in the pictures above finished college and came on board full time. We have adopted a Lean Manufacturing Program in which every employee makes an improvement to their work area daily. We seek to improve on our past success and build a culture where we improve our work, our people, the cabinet industry, and our community a little more each day. We are proud of where we came from, because it brought us to where we are and to helped make us who we are today.
